Feeling Peachey

I hope you all had a good Christmas - it was quiet here - and that's how I like it.
This card, which I'm entering in the CD Sunday challenge -'In Stitches' was somewhat of a disaster from start to finish. I attached the backing paper layer which is printed from the Artylicious Essence of Nature CD.
Inked and stamped around the edges with Spiced Marigold Distress ink - attached ribbons across the centre, prepared the topper and greeting and then went to make lunch. When I came back I didn't check which way round the card was so ended up with an antipodean card - funny that really, cos that's where it's going. So after cutting off the front of the card and putting it on a new card base I did the insert. This morning when I went to write the card I found that this was upside down too. I promise, I only had 4 glasses of wine over the whole Christmas period - so I can't blame the drink.

Season's Greetings

I'd like to wish all my 'cyber friends' a Merry Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year. I look forward to 'seeing' you all after Christmas and hope that 2011 is a better year for everyone.

On a personal note - we've had water today. Yippee. Strangely - the outside tap has been running  but still not the inside ones. No shower yet then - but a great improvement on yesterday.

CD Sunday Challenge - Tag It.

This weeks challenge on the CD Sunday challenge blog is 'Tag It'. The background is done using the Serif Digital Scrapbook Artist cd. The tag was cut with a Spellbinders die, inked with Adirondack Stonewashed ,and Dusty Concord Distress ink. Then it was oversprayed with a lavender mica spray. The thank you stamp is a See Dee's one from a set that I'd forgotton I had and the swirls from Elusive Images. Ribbon and gems from my stash.
This is my second day without running water as the underground pipes have frozen ( a couple of my neighbours have the same problem too) so I'm off now to shut the chickens in and refill my saucepans with snow. Good job we have plenty of it.lol.
Thanks very much for visiting today.

Well the Photo's Vintage

This week's challenge from Rainbow Lady is ' Make it a Vintage Delight'. I've come across this photo of my kids - which is in itself a vintage item - taken about 38 years ago I reckon - and decided to make an 8 x 8 scrapbook page with it. If it prints out OK they'll all get a copy on a HUGE card.  I tried to make everything sepia toned - the photo, papers and embellishments but just didn't like it so have opted for the original photo colours which also meant changing the colour scheme of the page. It's all done in Serif Digital Scrapbook Artist and probably took me as long - if not longer - than using papers punches and dst.

CD Sunday - Three of a Kind

I got back from my trip to see the family late on Wednesday and discovered that I was the lucky winner from last week's CD Sunday challenge. I am so lucky that the fabulous Shoes in Bloom CD is on it's way to me as I write. On to this week's challenge, which is 'Three of a Kind'. I can't claim this design as totally my own as it's similar to the one Sheena Douglass did when she demo'ed these stamps by Creative Expressions. The paper to make the dresses is by Funky Fairies, cut out, shaped and stuck over the dummy stamp, and the check background paper is from a Crafters Companion CD.
Hope you are all managing to keep warm, dry and safe.
Thank you for visiting today.

Taking a Break

Being a bad blogger for a bit longer I'm afraid. Had a busy week trying to get everything sorted to take with me on my trip - the one that was cancelled last week due to bad weather. I'm now calling in on my other daughter who live's in Stoke on Trent on the way back so after leaving first thing tomorrow morning I'll be a.w.o.l. till at least next Wednesday.
Hope you all have a good week and I'll do my best to catch up soon after I get home.

Glitter, glitter everywhere.

This week the challenge on the CD Sunday challenge blog is 'Christmas Sparkle'. I've just about finished my Christmas cards and the glitter has hardly been out of the cupboard. Good thing really. I've just spent more time vacuuming it all up than applying it to the card. The house image is from Creative Expressions - stamped in Adirondack Denim  and glittered liberally. The bp is from a Graphicus Guild pack - I was hoping to find it on one of their cd's as I didn't want to use it all up and it seemed just the right shade to go with the Denim - but I couldn't - so I had to use it. The greeting is my CD bit - it's from MCS More Than Just Words Volume 3. The swirls are Marianne Dies. I stuck some white card onto double sided sticky sheet and after cutting out, peeled off the backing and pressed them into the glitter. The white organzer ribbon was a bit sparkly - but not enough - so I stuck some extra strong ds tape down the centre and glittered that too. The whole thing looks a lot more glittery IRL than in the piccie but I just couldn't get the lighting right. If I stood it on the table there wasn't enough light and if I stood on the window sill the sun was so bright it cast shadows all over the place. Yes sun. It's a glorious day here again and the conservatory windows open again for the second day running. Sorry!

Rainbow Lady's 129th Challenge

I'm not sure if these two fit the bill for Rainbow Lady's challenge this week - which is 'Christmas Animals'. It's a Christmassy image anyway and it is from a Jayne Netley Mayhew cd. I had made the base card a few weeks back using this lovely bp from Glanda Waterworth and thought this image matched the colours just right. The sentiment is stamped in Adirondack Cloudy Blue and it an Elusive Images stamp. It's the first time I've used it and it stamped perfectly - that pleased me - normally I'm rubbish when stamping text.
I didn't make my trip to see the family this weekend and have just spoken to my daughter who say's all the snow and ice has gone and the roads are clear. Grrrr.
Thanks very much for visiting today.

No Dreaming Required

This week's challenge on the CD Sunday blog is 'White Christmas'. Well I think Christmas has come early for a lot of you in that respect. We're lucky here. It's very cold but no snow and there wasn't enough to settle last week either. I hope all of you that are snowbound are keeping safe and warm.
This card has been made using the MCS Craft e Christmas cd. Both the image and the backing paper come from the Star of Wonder section. The swirls were cut from a Marianne dye. That's about it really. Not a lot else to say.
If I do manage to make my trip down south this weekend - obviously I won't be about - but if I can't go at least I'll be able to catch up on some blog hopping.
Thank very much for visiting.

See You Soon Bah Humbug

It's the last challenge of the year from the Bah Humbug team and it's 'Feeling the Blues'. So - because it's the last I'm entering two cards this time. The first is a gorgeous image from Delicious Doodles. The bp is from a Graphicus Guild paper pack. The bp on the second is a freebie download from Glenda Waterworth and the stamps used - village scene - Seredipity - deer - Hobby Art and sentiment - See D's.
I'm looking forward to getting well ahead with next years Christmas cards with next years challenges. Thank you girls for a great challenge.
Thanks for looking.

Thank You

This week Rainbow Lady's challenge theme follows 'Thanksgiving' and I thought a 'thank you' card might fit the bill. I've now discovered that I don't have a really nice 'thank you' stamp so I'll be on the lookout for one pretty soon. The image is from MCS Countryside Gardens - I've printed the topper 4 times so I could pyramage it up for real. The bp is also on the same CD. I've used copper mirri paper to mount the images on to and the die cut greeting ribbon was white - coloured with Promarker.
Thanks very much for visiting today. Sorry if I haven't been visiting myself for a few days - it's all go at the moment - sorting out the arangements for a new kitchen, hospital and shopping trips with my friend Sue and getting ready for my trip to England next weekend (weather permitting.)

CD Sunday Challenge

The CD Sunday challenge this week is 'Shabby Chic'. I've used Joanna Sheens ATC assistant for the image and the bp is from another of Joanna's cd's (just wish I could remember which one - it's half a sheet left from another make). In real life the colours are a real good match but on screen somehow they don't go so well. You'll just have to take my word for it I'm afraid. I  'roughed up' the edges of the bp with a craft knife and edged it with Old Paper Distress Ink and also inked the ticket stamp from Crafty Ann with the same ink.
The piece of MS punched border I inked with Worn Lipstick and then just added a few pearls and a touch of ribbon.
Thanks very much for coming to visit.

Fairy Sparkle

I'm entering this card into two challenges - Rainbow Lady's challenge - which this week is 'Edge It' and the
Bah Humbug challenge - which this week is 'Lovely in Lilac'.
The 'edging' is the mat made with a Martha Stewart punch and this has been layered onto a piece that I made a while ago - swirls and glimmer mists - but I can't remember which colours I used. The fairy and sentiment are Crafters Companion and the flower is from my stash - coloured with Pro Markers - as was the fairy. I coloured the fairy's wings with a clear Stardust pen. The piece behind the fairy has been spritzed with a lilac mica spray - there are some snowflakes there too - stamped and embossed with crystal embossing powder but you can't see them very well. The flower and the Martha Stewart mat have been sprayed with glitter spray.
Tip:- This is my second fairy. The first one I coloured with cosmic shimmers and then sprayed once it was well dried with glitter spray. Not a good idea. The spray seemed to activate the cosmic shimmers and it all got a bit blurry.

A Letter to Santa

This month the challenge from Sir Stampalot is 'Christmas Traditions' amd what's more traditional than a letter to Santa.
The main stamp is from Sugar Nellie - stamped with Versafine, heat embossed and then coloured with Promarkers. Matted onto a nesite it is backed by a cuttlebugged piece - highlighted with Distress Fired brick and cut with a Wizard labels die. The greeting is from Creative Expressions - again stamped and embossed in Versafine and cut with a smaller label from the same set. Both the labels pieces have been edged with Topiary embossing powder (a dark green with hints of gold in it). The snowflake has been cut from another Wizard die and the ribbon is from my stash. The lovely check bp is from a Crafters Companion cd (don't ask me which one - I had most of them out looking for this bp and promptly forgot which one I'd found it on.)
Thanks very much for visiting today.

No Stamps Required (well - one)

I've had fun today playing with My Craft Studio to make this 'card' for Rainbow Lady's challenge this week 'Thinking of You' The whole thing was made in MCS from the Fanciful Florals and Flourishes cd's. I haven't printed it out yet but it's sized to fit a 7 x 5 card. When I do print out I'll probably printed each element out seperately and then mount them up in the usual fashion to get some dimension.

My second card was also made from My Craft Studio Images, some lace and a Marianne die cut swirl. The sentiment is a Hobby Art clear stamp. I'm entering this into the CD Sunday challenge - Lavender and Lace.

My third and final card today (this is a first for me - three cards in one day) was also made using My Craft Studio, Craft e Christmas, some punching with a Martha Stewart punch and some mirri card. This one is my entry for the Bah Humbug challenge this week 'Reindeer'.
So there we have it - only one stamp used for all three - and it doesn't seem right somehow. Back to ink and rubber for me for a while now I think.
Thanks very much for visiting today. I'm hoping to get some blog hopping done today too

Born Free

A chance to use my Jayne Netley Mayhew cd for The CD Sunday Challenge which this week is 'The Natural World'. The image is from JNM Part 2 and the bp is from the Crafters Companion Cute Companions CD. I punched a border strip with a Martha Stewart punch and added a thin strip of the bp to it. The ticket stamp is one of Crafty Ann's digis. You get a whole sheet of ticket stamps and now that I've printed the whole sheet I'm sure you'll be seeing some more of them
Thanks very much for visiting. Hope you all have a good weekend.

Christmas Teardrop

This week on the team from Bah Humbug want us to make a card using 'Fancy Folds'. I've chosen to make a card from the teardrop template which I've had for ages and only used a couple of tiimes.
The flower is cut from a nestie die, each layer coloured with Fired Brick Distress ink and then edged with gold glitter. The swirly leaf stamp behind it is a Clarity stamp. I've punched a matt from some red mirri card and added a sentiment from a U Mount Christmas set. It's finished off with a few red gems.

Rainbow Lady's Challenge #125

This week the challenge from Rainbow Lady has been set by Janet of Redmoss Ramblings. Janet wants us to 'Make a Picture'. This card was made using some U Mount stamps - Distress Inks and Lyra watercolours. Not a lot else to say about it really.
Have been absent this past week or so due to housey stuff. We took up some grotty old vinyl in the kitchen to find perfect quarry tiles underneath (I did think they were all going to be cracked and that was why they had been covered up).We have spent most of the last week cleaning them up (old varnish and grime) and finally put the sealant on this morning. The fumes are a tad overpowering but hopefully it will clear soon.
Hope you all survived the gales last night.
Thanks for visiting today.

Two of a Kind

I couldn't decide which of these two cards to post so I've posted both. The theme on the Bah Humbug challenge site this week is 'Presents' and as I hadn't used this Sarah Kay stamp so far this year I though I'd make two while I was at it. The bp is a freebie from the very generous Jak Heath  - an A4 sheet but with the same A5 image in a slightly different shade each end of the design.. Just right for doing two A5 cards. One image has been stamped onto watercolour paper and the other onto smooth card. Both have been coloured with Lyra watercolours. The sentiment and parcel stamps are from the Crafters Companion Cute Companions Christmas range. The mirri card strip was punched with a Martha Stewart border punch and the oval mats and snowflake were punched from Wizard dies. The extra embellishments on the second card were part of some crafty goodies sent to me by Cynthia (aka Rainbow Lady) some time ago. I knew I'd be using them eventually.

A Couple of DL Cards

I've decided to start using some DL cards that I've had for ages. The first card I'm entering into the
CD Sunday challenge - which this week is 'No Embellishments'. The background was made from the toppers section in the Artylicious Seasons Greetings cd. The stamp is from the Elusive Images Essence of Nature stamp plate. I used marker pens to colour the stamp, cut it out with a nestie and then mounted it onto some gold mirri card. I also cut a couple of thin strips of the mirri card to edge the greeting.
The second card is for this week's Bah Humbug challenge 'Elegance'. The stamp is again an Elusive Images stamp, stamped with pigment ink and clear embossed - as was the greeting - a Serendipity stamp. I used red mirri card to mat the nestie ovals onto, cut a couple of strips for the top corners and to back the main part of the card but it doesn't show up as it was such a dull day when I took the piccie it's a good job most of the card is white.

It's Autumn Already

It's already that time of year when there are more leaves on the ground than on the trees but I don't mind. I love to see 'bare' trees. I've made this card to go with Rainbow Lady's challenge this week - 'Autumn Foliage'. The background stamp is by Lost Coast Designs, bought at the Port Sunlight show. I coloured it with Distress Inks and ran a piece of ric rac down one side. The bp is from the Artylicious Essence of Nature cd and the tree stamp is by Crafty Individuals. I stamped it with Versafine and then oversprayed with Cosmic Shimmer Mists - liked the sheen, so then sprayed the background stamp piece too.
The little leaves were punched from pieces of left over copper mirri paper and some odd bits I'd Glimmer Misted.
Thanks very much for visiting.

In a Blue Mood

Got a blue thing going on at the moment. The first card I'm entering in the Bah Humbug challenge - to use vellum. Eek! The vellum is the punched border down the side. Bit of a cop out I know but at least it was easy to stick down. The image is a penguin stamp I've had for ages -Funstamps - whoever they are. I've stamped it 3 times and coloured with Lyras, cut out with a nestie and inked round the edge with Adirondack Cloudy Blue. The bp is from a Graphicus Guild paper pack.
The second card is for the CD Sunday challenge - 'Monochrome'. The image and the bp are both from My Craft Studio Craft e Christmas cd and the velvet ribbon from my stash. Both cards have a peel off greeting. Lazy I know but what am I to do with the masses of peel offs I aquired when I first started.
Thanks very much for visiting.

Home Made Buttons

Surprise! My second posting in a week. I wonder how long this will last. I've missed out on so many challenges (and my blog hopping) over these last few months. I just hope now the weather is turning and I'll be doing less outside I can do a bit more crafting. So - I made this card with the Sir Stampalot challenge in mind - 'Autumn Breezes'.  I had hoped to enter all the Sir Stampalot challenges and thought it would be a breeze - no pun intended - as it's a monthly challenge. But I haven't even managed that. The requirement is Autumnal colours, a button and a bow (or more).
The stamped image is from the Elusive Images Essence of Nature stamp late - coloured with Distress Inks and the bp is from the Essence of Nature cd.
I made the buttons from shrink plastic - cut with a Cuttlebug maple leaf die - punched a couple of holes for the thread before shinking and then coloured with Caramel alcohol ink. The ribbon across the corner was from my ribbon box.
Thanks very much for visiting.

Minutes to Spare

Nearly didn't make it again this week. I knew I was pushing it when I didn't finish the card till gone 11 this morning (too wet to work outside again) - then Blogger was on a go slow so I didn't think I'd make it at all.
This card is for Bah Humbug's challenge to use your favourite Cuties. This little cutie is from MCS Craft e Christmas and was blue originally and part of a ready made topper - I had several goes getting the circle to right size for a nestie. The bp is from Crafters Companion Cute Companions first Christmas CD and the sentiment is computer generated - with the 'Magical' highlighted with a stardust pen (which doesn't show in the piccie).
Thanks for visiting.

Well It's Around the World from Down Under!

This week the challenge from Rainbow Lady is 'Around the World'. Now, being someone who's not that keen on travelling - I don't have much experience of other parts of the world (or the stamps either) so working on the theory that Wales is 'around the World' from lots of other places - I've done the challenge in reverse - so's to speak. The stamp is from Dimension Fourth and I've coloured the 'map' and sea area with pastels. The bp was printed from a cd that came with a magazine and the border was punched using a Martha Stewart Lattice punch.
Thank you for looking.

This One's Going a Long Way

It's been a while again I'm afraid and I must apologise once again for not getting round to visit any of you. Still finding it difficult getting enough time for blogging and crafting between working in the garden and decorating - a job I hate but I'm well pleased with it now it's done.
I did manage to make this card while it while waiting for paint to dry and the rain to stop. It's made with the Bah Humbug challenge in mind - 'Across the Miles' and will be going to New Zealand.
The stamps are Creative Expressions, the BP is from my Graphicus Guild pack and the sentiment was computer generated. I used Old Paper Distress Ink to colour the white background and Promarkers to colour the image.
I'm taking a day off from all this 'housey' stuff on Saturday when I'm going to the show at Port Sunlight. Mmmmm. I wonder what I'll come back with.
Thanks very much for visiting.

The Owl and the Dangler

A damp and miserable weekend which means I've had a chance to make a couple of cards - one to swell the box of Christmas cards and one which will most likely go to a male relative. The owl card was made using stamps from Elusive Images, Promarkers, and the bp from Jak (Jak Heath). I'm entering this in Rainbow Lady's challenge which this week is 'Feathers'.
The second I'm entering into the Bah Humbug challenge which this week is 'Text'. The text was taken from MCS, cut out and mounted onto a nestie - the holly stamps round the edge are from Creative Expressions. The bp is from a Graphicus Guild pack and the ribbon, peel off corners and jump rings from my stash.
Thanks very much for visiting.

Simple Variations

I'm trying to get back into the swing of things by entering a couple of challenges with a very simple card done in different colours to suit the challenge (and to get some fairly quick Christmas cards done. I have got well behind over the last few months.) The first is for Rainbow Lady's challenge this week to use 'black, white and silver'and the second is for the Bah Humbug challenge to use your 'favourite medium'. Well, this has to be rubber stamps and Distress inks. The main stamp is by Serendipity and the silver swirl on the first card is by Personal Impressions.
Phew - it's so long since I posted it was just like starting all over again. Thanks for visiting.

Crafty Ann's Challenge #18

Well it's time for challenge #18 already at Crafty Ann's. I just don't know where the time is going. This time the challenge is to make an easel card - any shape except plain square or oblong. So, I thought I'd try an octagonal card using my Easyscore box board and as you'll see when you visit the challenge blog - I'm not the only one to use that shape. The image is a WOJ stamp and she's seated on Crafty Ann's Easy Chair stamp which I have resized in MCS. I also used MCS to combine the stamp with one of Crafty Ann's polished stone effect bp's. A very easy way to colour in and giving the easy chair a slightly textured look - which doesn't show up in the piccie. I've used one from a sheet of birthday tickets for the greeting and some punched flowers to finish off. The bp on the base and behind the easy chair are from my stash.
I do hope you'll join in, and remember, goodies from Crafty Ann's digi store for one lucky entry.
Thanks very much for visiting today.

Crafty Ann's Challenge #17

Well it's challenge #17 from Crafty Ann already and this time the theme is 'embossing'. It can be dry or heat embossing or both. For my card I used a pre-coloured flower sheet from Crafty Ann and mounted each flower onto a Nestie shape in the opposite colour to the background. Both have been made using a Spellbinders Impressability plate - the top one I just inked the raised area with a chalk inkpad and for the bottom I put Versamark onto the Impressability, embossed and then coloured with Cosmic Shimmer powder onto the sticky bit. I inked the edge of the scallop border with the same chalk ink and coloured the ribbon with a Promarker. The butterfly is from an MS punch - which I really must get - and has been coloured with copper Moon Shadow Mist.
Blog hopping is suffering again as there seems so much else to do here at the moment - so - apologies in advance if I don't get round as regularly as I would like.
I do appreciate your visits and will catch up when I can.

Bah Humbug #22

This week it's 'Anything Goes' on the Bah Humbug challenge blog.
I knew I wanted to use this image and duly coloured it with Promarkers, edged it with Black Soot Distress ink and glittered the holly berries - and that was it. I just couldn't decide what to do next. After a lot of thinking that really hurt my brain - this very simple card is the result. I cut a piece of black card and attached to the card base. Added some ribbon and a greeting by Elusive images and then stuck a load of white peel off snow flakes on - a sheet that I've had for ages and thought I would never use.
Now why am I finding it so hard to come up with something whether it's a specific topic or - as this one - anything goes? I suppose because I only get short spells in between gardening at the moment and when I get the time it's not always the right time for my crafting head. Hope things will get back to normal soon.
Anyway - thanks very much for visiting today - a day I hope you are all enjoying.

Punching for Sir Stampalot

The challenge from Sir Stampalot this month is to use punches on your work. I started off being very brave and using one of my Graphicus Guild papers for the background - well it is for my daughter so I was feeling quite generous. The image is Penny Black - coloured with Promarkers and edged with Distress ink. I've mounted it onto some mirri card which I had coloured with alcohol inks. I punched the garden trellis twice onto pearl paper and slightly off set it to make it less open. The white border at the bottom is part of a parcel of goodies sent to me by my friend Martha (USA). The flowers were punched from some quite old Papermania papers which had been sprayed with Cosmic Shimmer spray. After I'd stuck them all on they still didn't look very inspriring so I rubbed some stickles over them a bit. I cut a corner piece from the garden trellis stamp in white and overlayed it with another, cut from the same coloured mirri card. I also punched the leaves/stems from the same piece.
There's a fab prize this month from Sir Stampalot again this month so why not give it a go.
Thanks very much for visiting.

Waste not - want not

Why waste not - want not? Well, I put together this image from MCS for The CD Sunday challenge - 'Girl Power'. Unfortunately - I wasn't paying attention too much to the size and it printed out way too big for the card I was intending to do  - so after resizing and printing it again I decided to use the original image on a larger card.

So - the top card is 6 x 6 and the bottom card is A5. Two cards in one day. That's going some for me. The background on the top card was inspired by a recent card of Brenda's - a swirl stamped randomly over the card and the edges inked with worn lipstick distress ink. The paper is from Funky Fairies distressing vines collection  and the border up the side is cut from a Cuttlebug border die. The sentiment is a stamp given to me by my lovely friend Jane - which I have used on both cards.
The second card - using the larger image has a bp from the Papercraft Factory CD and a piece of silver mirri card - coloured with alcohol inks and put through a Cuttlebug embossing folder.
Thank you for taking the time to visit today.

Acetate, acetate and more acetate.

I was really struggling with the 'Aceate' challenge from Bah Humbug this week. I know a lot of people love it but I'm not really a fan. The first idea I had was to make a frame from a Wizard snowflake die and gold leaf the back. It looked rubbish. Eventually after being uninspired since last Friday I remembered that I had some window cards from Creative Expressions. So, ACETATE in the window frame, a snowman stamped onto ACETATE, cut out and glittered on the back and a leafy corner from MCS printed onto ACETATE and cut round. Phew - I think that's my acetate fix for the rest of the year. The scene behind the window is from a Crafters Companion cd and the little mice were stamped with Memento ink, coloured with Promarkers and placed in the scene.

Rainbow Lady's challenge #106

This week Rainbow Lady's challenge has 'Faces' as the theme. It doesn't have to be a human face so I've chosen this Husky stamp from Clarity as the 'face' for my card. I've inked the background with a mixture of Adirondacks and Distress inks and  stamped the image with Black Stazon. The trees are a mixture of Stampscapes and Crafty Individuals. The bp is one of my precious Graphicus Guild ones and the black border on the left was cut using a Cuttlebug border die (twice). A few gems in the corner just to break the monotomy.
I forgot to mention that I oversprayed the image with Silver Cosmic Shimmer spray too.
Thanks very much for visiting.

Crafty Ann's Challenge #16

It's a colour challenge from Crafty Ann this time. With the world cup coming up Ann thought using the colours of your national flag would be a good theme. I chose to go with Wales as that's where I'm living now and I thought red, green and white a better choice than red, white and blue.
I've made a little hanging to go inside the cupboard where the Kit Kats etc are kept. I don't know if it will work - but it's worth a try.
I've used Crafty Ann's jeans digi stamp, resized and coloured in MCS except for the midrif - which is Promarkers. The swirly stamp on the white is a Rollergraph stamp and the sentiment was computer generated.

And the winner of the two coloured sheets offered on here for those who left a comment - and drawn from the proverbial hat (well, my sunhat) by my soon to be ex hubby  is:- Darling Ho

Please e mail Ann on the address that's on the challenge blog so she can send you your prize.

Thanks very much for visiting today and I hope you can join us in this latest challenge.

Two Birds - Three Camels

I'm doing one post for two cards today. The first is for The CD Sunday challenge where the theme is 'Feathered Friends'. The image is from the first JNM set - mounted onto a nestie shape of Cosmic Shimmer misted pale green card. The yellow(ish) matt is a piece of white card sponged with Distress inks - mustard seed and straw. The corner stamp is a Clarity clever corner and the 'lace' across the centre is a piece of self adhesive sticky paper lace - coloured with a black Promarker. The bp is from the same cd and is the one that comes with the image.

The second card is for this weeks Bah Humbug challenge - 'Silhouettes'. The camel stamp is by Clarity and the background is brayered on from a Big and Juicy Soothing Sunset pad. The bp is a freebie vellum from a magazine a couple of years back which I've stuck on with a sheet of ds sticky paper. I'm really not sure about this one - I think it needs a greeting or something - guess I've got plenty of time to think about that one.
Thanks very much for visiting today.

Dream Cottage

This week's challenge from Rainbow Lady is 'Home Sweet Home'.

For my card I've used a U Mount stamp for the main image and a Hobby Art flower border stamp for the base of the image. I've coloured with a mixture of Lyra Aquacolours and Art Kure watercolour paint brushes (like a water brush but with watercolour paint not water inside). The picket fence across the bottom is a Sissix die and the bp is from Joanna Sheen's Royal Horticultural cd. The ribbon is from my stash. The card is an A5 size but in a cheque book style - only possible coz I've got some lovely A3 white 300 gsm card.
I would love a place like this to live in except that I wouldn't fancy the spiders that tend to inhabit thatched rooves.
Thanks very much for visiting today.

Bah Humbug meets Sunday CD

Time's still a bit short for me at the moment so I've combined two challenges this week. The ladies at
Bah Humbug want to see 'ribbon' on our creations and the subject on the CD Sunday challenge this week is 'elegant ladies'.
The 'elegant lady is from a Debbie Moore cd, mounted onto mirri card, which in turn is mounted onto a piece of white card which I've stamped randomly with a Clarity corner stamp and then inked the edges with the same Distress ink. I've also added some glitter to the dress. The gold embossed swirl in the corner is a U Mount stamp - and is finished off with some green gems . The ribbon is from my stash.
Thanks very much for visiting.

Sir Stampalot challenge #2

I missed the very first challenge from Sir Stampalot but have managed to get a card done for the current challenge which is 'Butterflies and Blossoms'.
I have used an Elusive Images stamp - coloured with Inktense pencils. I decoupaged the butterfly and some of the leaves.I also added another butterfly from the same set top right. I followed the poppy theme from the stamp and made some poppy blooms from a new punch that I bought at Port Sunlight. The paper used is some quite old Papermania paper, sprayed with Cosmic Shimmer spray. The flower centres are black punched card which I've then covered in black stickles. The flourish is white card - sprayed with Glimmer mist and then cut from a Sissix die.The bp is from a Graphicus Guild pack and the butterfly border is from a selection of punched borders sent to me by my Stateside friend - Martha. The card is just a tad under 8 x 8 - it had to be once I'd decided to use those poppies - which are quite large.

Crafty Ann's challenge #15 and Blog Hop

It's already time for challenge #15 at Crafty Ann's and we're having our very first BLOG HOP! We're celebrating the launch of the Flower Collection of pre-coloured images. If you have come to me from seeing Ann's gorgeous work you are on the right lines but if not, you need to start at the beginning which is the challenge blog. To be in with a chance of winning these two sheets from the new collection, just leave me a comment. The theme this time is to use lots of colour.

Don't forget to collect the two words you need from me which are: AND,MORE. When you leave here, your next stop will be Kym who has some wonderful inspiration for you and two more sheets and two more words. When you have visited all the blogs you need to end up back at the challenge blog and follow the instructions on there to find out what to do to be in with a chance of winning the final 5 sheets.

For my card I've used the lovely daisies from the pre-coloured flower collection, cut out and decoupaged and then matted onto a black frame and some black lace. The backing paper is from Crafty Ann's Mottled Stone collection - printed onto glossy paper. Great if you want the effect of alcohol inks but without the mess.

Thanks very much for visiting.
