Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge

I just found out about this fairly new challenge site from Ann . It's called the Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge. It's a sketch card and I've used a set of matching papers that I have in my stash. The text stamp is from Cuddly Buddly and is stamped in Teal Stazon. The Tilda stamp is a new purchase. She's coloured with a mixture of Pro Markers and chalks.

Magic and Mystery

I got the chance to use my new Dovecraft fairy stamps for this weeks challenge set by Rainbow Lady. They are stamped onto a background of Glimmer Mists with some Elusive Images Meadow stamps. The background paper is from a CD I picked up at Alexandra Palace. It's not the easiest of CDs to use but I really like some of the papers. I've edged the backing paper with extra strong tape and added glitter (from a big box of glitters also bought at Ally Pally) and made a tag with some of the backing paper and a Nestability tag bought at - you've guessed it - Ally Pally. There are a few punched dragonflies and a butterfly which have been glittered too. I've been crafty and also used this card for Joana Sheen's challenge this week - All That Glitters.

Don't trash it - Recycle

This card is for Tanda stamps challenge to recycle something. The backing paper is from a Graphicus Guild pack and the mouse and corner stamps are Cute Companions. The die cut letters on the tag are the recycled bit. I have to thank Mr Kaspersky for putting his software in such a lovely box. There wasn't much space clear of writing to use but it was just enough for these letters. They don't really show up on here but they have a holographic effect in the daylight, deep green changing to light green. The black punched tags are edged with glitter which pick up the green too.

Ribbon/Child's Card

It seems ages since I last posted and I must apologise to everyone whose blogs I normally visit for my absence and lack of input. I thought that when the OH went away I'd be on here all the time but the chance to have some time completely to myself took precedence. I haven't enjoyed such peace and solitude for many years. It was wonderful.
I have made some cards - specifically some 25th anniversary cards and a few birthday cards but I thought I really must get back into the swing of things with the challenges. This is a simple card which I hope will fit in with Tanda Stamps challenge to make a card for a child and with Rainbow Lady's challenge to use ribbon. There's not much to say about it really. A Cute Companions stamp - a peel off and a bit of ribbon. It's layered onto a two tone card which was from a Dawn Bibby set. I'll try to be more adventurous next week.
