Pushing over the Daisies.

Sunday again and time for a fresh challenge at CD Sunday. It's Christine's turn to choose the theme this week and she's chosen 'Hugs and Wishes.'
I've made and Easter card (wishes) and used some cute hedgies from the Country Companions CD by Docrafts (hugs). I used the paper making facility in Digital Designer to make the bp and then printed the main image three times, using the punch facility to crop it so I could pyramage it up. It wasn't till I was laying in bed that night thinking about it that I remembered the programme does it for you. Der!
The flowers, flower pots and the greeting are from the Tatty Teddy CDs and the green 'plant stem' is a Marianne die.
Hope you'll find time to join in - not forgetting to give credit to the CD you have used in whole or part of your project.
Thanks very much for visiting today.

Stamping Sensations 'Fur and Feather challenge

I'm entering this card into this month's Stamping Sensations challenge - 'Fur and Feather'.
The stamp is by Serendipity, bought from Joanna Sheen several years ago - and not used nearly enough. I've coloured it with Promarkers and cut out with nestie dies. The rope is also part of the same set of stamps, embossed with black and also coloured with a Promarker. The sentiment is part of a Kanban set - embossed with platinum ep. I've added some button thread to a background made with Weathered Wood and Black Distress inks - dabbed onto a craft mat and spritzed.
Thank you for visiting today.

Spring is in the air....

So I've been a bad blogger for the last few days but I've got such a good excuse. My son is staying with me and is revamping my bathroom and loo. I have a new bath - a new floor in both the bathroom and loo and he's refitted the bathroom basin and the loo too so it all looks brand new. He's also revamped the kitchen sink and fitted new taps for me. What a treasure he is. (And so is my lovely DIL for making sure it happened.) He's here till Monday at least and then he has to get back to his family who I know are missing him.
So here we are at the beginning of another week with CD Sunday. - I'll choose my top three for last week's challenge as soon as I can. It won't be easy - I know that.
This week to topic has been chosen by Wendy and it's 'Spring is in the Air'. For my card I have used the Penny Black image I stamped a few weeks ago - this time in a different colour scheme but still coloured with Promarkers. The bp is from DoCrafts Digital Designer Spring Chic cd. The corner is a Cuttlebug die and the border along the bottom a Memory box die. I've cut it twice, once in cream and a second time in a green and offset the two just slightly. The sentiment is a Rubbadubbadoo stamp and I've put a couple of nail heads in the bottom corners.
I hope you can join us this week and if you do - remember to say which CD you have used in the making of your project.
Thank you for visiting today.

On your bike - but not that one.

Good morning. Another Sunday - another CD Sunday challenge. We had some lovely entries for last week's Showtime theme and I really enjoyed seeing the different ideas for the theme. This week it's my turn to choose the theme. I've chosen 'On Your Bike' so I hope that gives you plenty of ideas.
For my card I decided to start with my favourite bike stamp - a penny farthing. So stamped it and cut it out ready - then made a background using Serif Daisy Trail Steampunk Travel and Inventor cd's. I printed some of the elements out twice so I could layer them up, added a Spellbinders die cut cog and reached for my stamped image. Yikes - way too small for the background!! So I searched my digikits for bikes and up popped this image from the Steampunk range. So there you have it - not sure I'd feel totally safe on a bike like this - would those propellers have lifted it off the ground in a high wind I'm wondering.
Hope you find time to join in this week.

Showtime with CD Sunday

This week at CD Sunday the theme is 'Showtime' - chosen by Caz. For my card I have used a backing paper from the Paints Poppets cd as my cd element. The main image is a Crafters Companion stamp - coloured with Distress Markers and cut out with a Spellbinders die. The flowers were made with my Nellie Snellen punches and coloured with Scattered Straw and Wild Honey Distress Inks. The leaves are a Cheery Lynn die and the corner is a Cuttlebug die. The sentiment is a Hobby Art Clear stamp and I found just enough orange 'jewels' in my stash to use for the centres of the flowers and the top left corner.
I look forward to seeing the different takes on 'Showtime' so please join in if you can.
Thank you for visiting today.
