Anniversary Card
Brenda at Floral Fantasies is celebrating her Bloggerversary and the fact that she has nigh on 4000 followers with a little competition to make something that reflects her blog. For me it had to be the beautiful header. It's a joy to see those poppies every time I visit Branda's blog. I've used a stamp by Sheena Douglass, coloured with H2O's then I cut out the image with a Spellbinders die. The butterfly is one of Glenda Waterworth's - coloured with Distress Markers and then lightly sprayed with glitter spray. The bp is (I think) from Paintbox Poppets which I over stamped with a crackle and a text stamp in Worn Lipstick DI. Hardly shows but it was a bit plain(er) before. The ribbon and card candy are from my stash. I really wanted to make more of this card but just can't get my head round adding loads of embellishments etc. I'm going to give it to my neighbours who have an anniversary this month. I don't know which one but I'm guessing it's a fair few more than sixty.
Thank you for visiting today.

Can't wait to get these in the garden
I know. Second post of the day. What's the world coming too? It's because I've left it a tad late for
Brenda's Poppy Challenge. These poppies are one of my favourite plants - and as today I finally got the last of the perennials that I brought with me in the ground (in between showers) I can now scatter some of my double orange poppy seeds around and hope at least some of them germinate. The seed is 2010 but I think poppy seeds last a fair time. I have had them my gardens since the early nineties - all from one original plant in a mixed packet of seed. The stamp is a Sheena Douglass one, stamped with Stone Grey Stazon and coloured with Inktense pencils. The background is a mixture if Pan Pastels overstamped in Versafine Black Onyx using Hobby Art wooden stamps.
Thanks very much for visiting. If you want to enter Brenda's challenge you've got about one day left to do so.
Beryl xx
