CAS - ish
Round three of the Sassy in the City Relay brings us Miranda. This time the challenge is to produce a Clean and Simple project. I'm sort of middle of the road and find both CAS and cards with loads of embellishments a challenge to here's my effort. Miranda was coloured with Promarkers, cut out and mounted onto a background made using an image from Charmed Crafts Girls About Town collection. The sentiment is also from the same set. And that's it. Only one more round to go. Let's see who the next Sassy lady will be.

Sassy in the City - Samantha's Turn
It's round two of the Sassy in the City Relay with Sassy Studio Designs. The image we've been given this time is called Samantha. Isn't she fab. This time Regan wants to see plenty of bling! I've coloured the image with Promarkers - except for the dress which I've glittered with some sparkly black glitter.I also used silver glitter for the earrings and bracelet. The swirls in the background are Creative Expressions ( by Sheena Douglass) which I've embossed with black holographic embossing powder. The seat is from a My Craft Studio CD and the sentiment is computer generated.
I couldn't believe my luck when I found out that I'd been picked in the random draw to win a couple of images from the shop. What a job choosing - so many gorgeous girls - but choose I did and I'm looking forward to using them.
Thanks very much for visiting today.

Funky and Sassy.
I've just discovered this great range of digital images thanks to Pinky. The are from Sassy Studio Designs and as well some great images to purchase - there seem to be quite a few freebies going around too. At the moment this little diva is free and if you enter the challenge to use her and friendship as the theme, you'll get another freebie. If you click on the link you can read all about it yourselves.
I have coloured the image with Promarkers and following the Get Funky Sketch which is their latest challenge
I have used my favourite bp from the Dreams Come True Papercraft Factory cd. The flower was cut with one of the Tim Holtz Tattered Florals dies and the centre a small punch in my stash. The sentiment was computer generated, the lower one being cut out with a nestie.
Thanks very much for visiting.

Update - I really wasn't happy with the dress colouring on this card so paper pieced some orange paper that has been overprinted with some little flowers. I still think the image is a bit insipid - I think it's partly due to my printer and partly because her hair is a bit light.

Just Peachey
Time for another challenge from the CD Sunday Challenge team and this week it's sketch from Jenny.
I've used a bp from my newly acquired Paintbox Poppets cd and the digi image - Joy -is coloured with Promarkers. The yellow card on the MS punched mat is actually yellowish and peach marbled but it doesn't show up too well - it did before it went through the embossing folder! A little ric rac and some card candy finish off the sketch. As there's no subject with the sketch there's lots of scope to use whatever image of them you wish so I do hope you'll come and join in this week.
Thank you for visiting today - I hope you all get a little sunshine at least this weekend.

Just noticed I've put the card candy at the bottom in the wrong direction. Ho hum. A bit late now!

Dressed for a British Summer!
The current challenge from Sketch n Stash is to use any of their previous sketches - to be found in their sketch library page. I've chosen sketch 35.
As you can see I've had to put the card candy in the corners of the card as it would have been too crowded on the centre square. (Guess I should have used a smaller image). The stamp is the 'old and neglected' element. I've had it for a few years and only used it on a card once. I can't remember who's make it is either - but I'm sure someone out there knows.I used Promarkers to colour her. The papers are a mixture of Crafty Individuals and Kay and Co. The flower is made up from punched and stash flowers. A Martha Stewart border punch was used for the band across the centre topped with a little more of the Kay and co paper. The sentiment was computer generated.
Thanks very much for visiting today. Hope you all got some sunshine - think quite a few of us have got rain again tomorrow.

Is it honeysuckle? - answers on a postcard please.
It's time for a new challenge on The Cd Sunday Challenge blog already and I've loved visiting all the entries for last weeks challenge. What a great way to see different takes on the theme and new ideas.
My card this week for the Delicious Damask theme uses bp from the Artylicious Damask Delights cd and also a stamp from a set that goes with the cd. I coloured a piece of white card with Old Paper and Tattered Rose Distress Inks to mimic the shading on the bp and then stamped the image in Versamark and gold embossed. I then sprayed the piece with Crafter's Companion Gold Glitter spray. For the flower I used a piece of card coloured in similar colours with Pan Pastels, used punches from my stash, layered up and then sprayed with the gold glitter spray. I went a bit mad with it this week as I also sprayed the Martha Stewart punched butterfly. Brown ribbon from my stash and a little nestie oval to sit the butterfly on. I hope you'll join in the challenge this week if you can.
I'd also like to enter this card in the June Sir Stampalot challenge. It's a bingo challenge and the line I have chosen is Pink, Brown and Bling. Lots of sparkly glitter on this one so I hope that qualifies as bling and the bp has shades of pink and green in it but it's very subtle (shows up more irl).
Thanks very much for visiting today.

Sheena's Lakeside Scene
Got to use this stamp at last - only had it since November!! I coloured it with Derwent watercolours pencils and stamped the sky with Adirondack Cloudy Blue and a Stamp in the Hand stamp - it's very pale and shows up better IRL. The script bp is from a Graphicus Guild pack and is on one of the Arrtylicious cd's but I'm afraid I can't remember which one. The sentiment is a Crafters Companion one (at least I think it is - it's with all my other C.Comp stamps ) - the swirls are a Sissix die and the rope border a Fiskars punch.
I'm entering it into the Pan Pastel challenge which this week is Boys?Fathers Day. No Pan Pastels used this week I'm afraid (and no dad to give the card to either).
Thanks very much for visiting today.

She's been busy....
This is my second attempt at this post. It seems now and again when I post using Internet Explorer only the title is published . So I'm having to use Google Chrome again. Guess I'll have to remember next time. So frustrating.
Anyway. I've followed the sketch from the Sketch n Stash Challenge 89 and using my long neglected WOJ stamp. I'm also entering this card in the Get Funky Challenge - Polka Dots and Flowers.
The image is coloured with Promarkers and the bp's are from the Dreams Come True Papercraft CD.
Ribbon, gems and corners are from my stash and the sentiment is computer generated and die cut with a nestie. I've also put some sparkly dots around the image but this doesn't show up on the screen.
Thanks very much for visiting today.

Ballerina Update
After the demise of my Ballerina (see post below) I checked the Dimension Stamps website and couldn't find her so wrote to Roy to see if they'd got one tucked away somewhere. I got a reply from Faye this morning to say that they had and she would send me one to replace the original 'just for a mention to my friends'. Wow. I didn't expect that - what a fantastic result. Thank you Faye.
Now we all know the demise of this particular stamp was down to me in some way or another and a few of you have suggested I may have cleaned it with Stazon cleaner. Now while I can't ever remember doing this - it was one of the very first stamps I bought - and I may have. We live and learn and I probably wasn't that 'stamp savvy' when I first started my little collection of stamps. Yep! About as little as everyone elses collection I'm guessing.
Anyway - the upshot is - I will have another ballerina stamp to cherish - and this time I'll make sure she's treated with respect.
Many thanks Roy and Faye

Last Image with This Stamp
The theme on the CD Sunday Challenge this week is 'Beautiful Ballerinas'. Now this stamp has been in two pieces for a long time - careful positioning has been needed when attaching it to the acrylic block - but now the whole stamp has disintegrated. I don't know what I did wrong - always kept it stored flat and out of the light. I was a Dimension Fourth stamp and I'm hoping they still make it as I would love to replace it.
I stamped it with Black Versafine and coloured it with water colour pencils. I couldn't find the right shade of blue paper to make my flowers so I coloured some white lightweight card with the same watercolour pencil.
The CD element is the bp which is from the Artylicious Decadent Brocade CD. The borders up the side are Cuttlebug borders and the blue matting for the image and the bp is Core'dinations card.I hope Mr Blogger plays nice and posts this for me Sunday morning.
Hope you'll come and join in this week.
Thanks very much for visiting.

Experimenting with Pan Pastels
Not sure if this classifies as 'vintage' but that's the theme on the Pan Pastel challenge this week 'Something Vintage'. The stamp is quite old now - one of the first I bought and it's an EI stamp - now Chocolate Baroque. I coloured a piece of white card with Permanent Red Tint and then stamped the image with Black Versafine. I then coloured the image using Dairylide Yellow Tint, Bright Yellow Green Shade, Magenta Shade and Violet Tint. I used cotton buds to apply the pastels and for the finer bits I used Ranger cut n dry nibs. The bp is from a Graphicus Guild pack, edged with Frantage Shabby Pink Embossing Enamel. The pink card behind was white and coloured with Pan Pastels to match the image. Flowers from my stash and a die cut Sissix swirl to finish off.
Thanks very much for visiting today. I may not be around over the weekend as I've got visitors coming on Friday so will probably spend most of Monday catching up.

CD Sunday Gorgeous Green
I'm delighted to have been chosen as one of the new Design Team members over on
The CD Sunday Challenge blog. The other newbie is Cazro - who I hope to be getting to know over the next few weeks along - along with some of the other team members I'm not familiar with.
This weeks theme is 'Gorgeous Green' and for my card I have used a background paper from Sheena Douglass' cd. The image is an Elusive Images (now Chocolate Baroque) stamp from the Essence of Nature set. I coloured the background first with Pan Pastels then over stamped with Versafine Onyx Black. The sentiment is done with my Design Runner and cut out with a nestie die. Some rafia and some black card candy to finish. I hope lots of you will join in this week - we'd love to see all you 'green' creations.
A busy family weekend this one so I'll probably be catching up with two days of blog visiting sometime late tonight when they've all gone home.
Thanks very much for visiting.
