Tanda's Challenge - Summer

I really didn't want to miss this week on the Tanda challenge as I'm going away for week on Thursday. The challenge is Summer - and for me it's flowers so I hope this card fits the bill. It's one of the first stamps I ever bought and I still love it. It's coloured with Lyra crayons and the envelope and backing was made from paper I got in a magazine.

Rainbow Lady's First Sketch Challenge

I am honoured to be Rainbow Lady's guest designer this week. It came about because I asked her if we could have a sketch challenge and she said we could if I set the challenge. Here's my interpretation of it. The little girl is a Cuddly Buddly stamp. She's coloured with Sakura Glaze pens. The backing papers are from my stash and the greeting inside the Nestability shapes is a copper coloured peel off. It's finished with a couple of punched flowers and some brown ribbon.

Friday Sketchers 19

This card is for the Friday Sketchers challenge number 19. The blue sky backing paper is from Kanban and the spotty paper is from my stash. The cuttlebugged piece was sent to me by Ann and the Edwin image is backed onto maroon card and coloured with pro markers. I then chalked the space around him. The greeting at the bottom is a Cuddly Buddly stamp and the number 12 was punched from the same spotty paper and using my cuttlebug alphabet dies. The 12 was then mounted onto a circle of maroon card punched from the same card backing the image. This card will go to one of my grandsons who is 12 next month.

Leaves

The challenge from Rainbow Lady this week was to use leaves in your creation. This gave me a good chance to use up these images which have been stamped and embossed waiting to go for ages. They have been coloured with Artquest Brilliant Gold. I keep forgetting that I've got these palettes since getting my Lyra crayons but I must use them more often as they act very much like H2O's. The backing paper, which is double sided, is used for both the card and behind the leaves, is from my stash.

Indian Summer?

This card is for the TandaStamps challenge this week to make a card reflecting Indian Culture.
I don't know who made the elephant stamp as it's one of the images I stamped when staying with my niece. It's was stamped onto a heavy gray card and has been coloured with twinkling H2O's and the elephant's skin given a bit of sparkle with a Sakura Stardust pen. The backing paper is from my Graphicus Guild pack and the bit at the top is some pearl paper that I've had for yonks. It's finished off with peel offs as I'd run out of inspiration. (It feels like a bit of a cheat to use peel offs these days but they do give a nice edge to the "arch" shape.)

Friday Sketchers 18

I'm having another go at a sketch challenge this week. It's for Friday Sketchers - sketch 18. Sticking with the Christmas theme to help me on the way I've used a greeting and backing paper from Artylicious Season's Greetings, some holographic card, (Oh how I need some round nestabilities - I'm rubbish with scissors) and a little Tilda coloured with pro markers and crayons, then glittered over the trimmings on her outfit. The parcels in the corner were from a magazine last Christmas and the sentiment at the top (Got Snow? but it doesn't show in the photo') is part of some blog candy I got earlier this year from Chrissie.

Have an Ace Day

When Rainbow Lady set the challenge to use playing cards in our creations this week I remembered this pack of miniature cards which have been in one drawer or another for at least 30 years. (Never throw anything away!) The mouse is from Cute Companions, water coloured with Lyra crayons and the words were done on the pc. backed with a little holographic card. It looked a bit plain so I chalked the background and added a Cuttlebug border which has been sanded with an emery board to pick out the flowers.

Haute Couture?

This week the challenge over at Tanda Stamps is
Haute Couture. Well I'm the last person to ask anything about fashion but I do have these stamps from Rubbadubbadoo so I hope they fit the bill. They have been stamped with Stone Grey Stazon and coloured with Lyra crayons. The holographic turqoise card backing them is from Kanban and the backing paper is from my stash. It's finished of with a strip of pale blue pearlised paper which has been put through the swirls Cuttlebug folder.

Christmas Sketch Card

I thought I'd make a Christmas card for the Friday Sketcher's challenge. It will be one less for later. The text card is from my stash and the straight pieces are some photo paper put through the swiss dots cuttlebug folder. It's not being wasteful - it was a piece that was too small to be able to print on. The bauble stamp I've had for a while and I can't remember where it came from and the Father Christmas stamp is from a set of six little stamps - again - can't remember where from. The bauble was coloured with Sakura stardust pens and the Father Christmas with Superpoints.

Summer Holiday

Summer Holiday is the theme for Joanna Sheen's challenge this week. I was going to put it in the Friday Sketchers challenge too and then realised that I hadn't rounded the corners off so maybe I'll try again for that. The Tilda image is a present from Ann and the backing papers are from my stash. The sun is punched on glitter card using my cuttlebug and the sentiment is from Cuddly Buddly.
