Pinkilicious Christmas

This weeks Bah Humbug challenge is to use pink - so this week I get to make my grand-daughter's card which just has to be pink - although if she puts it in her bedroom it will disappear amongst all the other pinkiness.
The image is Sarah Kay - coloured with pencils and gone over with a wash of clear stardust pen. The bp is some sparkly paper I've had for ages and the border across the centre made with my MS small heart border punch. The bp on the base piece is from a Graphicus Guild pack and the silver corners some self adhesive holographic glitter paper cut with a Cuttlebug corner. The sentiment is made from a Woodware sentments set.

April Showers

Thanks to a soggy day here I've managed to make a card for Rainbow Lady's challenge in good time this week. It's her 100th challenge already and this time the subject is 'April Showers'. I've used this House Mouse stamp which I've had for a while  but not had the occasion to use - until now. It's been stamped with Versafine, clear embossed and then coloured with water colour pencils. The rain was then highlighted with a clear stardust pen.
The sentiment is a Hobby Art clear stamp and the bp is a piece of Funky Fairies (freebie) paper - overstamped with some echinacea flowers head stamps by Crafty Individuals. The strip to the left of the sentiment was a piece of glimmer misted card that's been hanging about - put through the Cuttlebug.
Thanks very much for visiting.

Crafty Ann's Challenge #13

It's a recipe this time on Crafty Ann's challenge.
One main digi image,
A maximum of 3 colours (although you can use less),
One ribbon
Three flowers (these can be digi too if you wish).

There will be a prize of two digi stamps and one backing paper of choice for the lucky winner. To be in with a chance make sure that you have linked your entry – via Mr Linky if possible – by 6pm on thursday 6th May GMT.
I have used Ann's squirrel stamp for my card. I've used pencils and chalks to colour him and found some bp that matches the green in the image. The ribbon is from my stash and the 3 flowers are mixtire of Prima and punched layers. So - my 3 colours are green, blue and orange. I do hope you'll check out the other DT cards and join in if you can.
Thanks very much for visiting.

Rainbow Lady's Challenge #99 - Trees

I really didn't want to miss another week of Rainbow Lady's challenge so this is a card that has been waiting in the wings - so to speak. The challenge this week is Trees and as it's Wednesday afternoon already and I've only just got round to checking the challenge -  I haven't time to start afresh - a pity really as I've got loads of tree stamps - some of them never having seen any ink. Anyway - this image is a Hobby Art stamp which has been coloured with watercolours. I then sprayed the image with Glitter spray. The bp is Funky Fairies and it's printed onto Conquerer paper - which has a lovely sheen to it.
We had a terrific time at the Kettering workshop on Saturday - Sheena was lovely and it was great to see her working close up. There were several other Rainbow Friends there too so it made the day even more special.

AWOL with Good Reason

I know I keep apologising for being a bad blogger lately but this week it's going to be for a very good reason. I'm off to stay with Terrie tomorrow and on Saturday we are going to a Sheena Douglass workshop. Several Rainbow friends are going too so it will be great to meet them as well as Sheena. I had hoped to get round to everyone this evening but I've spent most of it sorting out OH's laptop for him. What's he going to do when this place is sold and I'm not there anymore to sort it out for him I wonder.
Have a good week all - I'll report when I get back.

Crafty Ann's Challenge #12

Welcome to Crafty Ann's 12th challenge. This time the subject is 'Let the sun shine in'. This can be interpreted however you like. I've chosen to use Crafty Ann's Chimenea digi stamp -with summers like the ones we've been getting lately I think every house (with a garden) should have one. I've coloured the image with pastel pencils and stamped a frame with tapestry stamps. The bp is from my stash and the peach cuttlebugged piece is from Crafty Ann's Abstract Pastels collection of papers. The flower is a mixture of punched and bought layers and the sentiment is computer generated.
I hope you'll be able to join in and don't forget - there's a chance to win some of Crafty Ann's goodies.
Thanks very much for visiting today.

Bah Humbug Challenge #12

This is my card for the current Bah Humbug challenge - 'Embossing'. I've used embossing paste with this Christmas Tree stencil and covered with white glitter. I've used the outside bit of a Nestie cut out to make a frame and the bp is a piece of very old Papermania paper which has been sprayed with Crafter's Companion Glitter spray to jazz it up. It's quite sparkly IRL but doesn't show up on the piccie. The ribbon is from my stash and the base card is black.
Thanks very much for visiting.

Rainbow Lady's Challenge #97

Rainbow Lady's challenge this week is 'Through the Window'. She wants to see a window of some sort on our creations and I have used this stamp by Serendipity. I've coloured it with Lyra watercolours and cut it out with a Nestie die.The bp is from Graphicus and the MS border courtesy of my friend Martha. The flower is punched from a Nellie Snellen punch and the leaves a Leone  punch.
Thanks very much for visiting today.
