Wings

This card is for the Arty Girlz challenge 'Wings'.
The owl is a Dimension Fourth stamp, stamped in Stazon Timber Brown and coloured with Lyra watercolours. The backing paper is from Crafter's Companion papercrafts CD and it's finished off with a few peel offs because it needed something and I just couldn't come up with anything else.
Thanks for looking.

More Recycling

This card is for the Arty Girlz ongoing challenge which is continuing the recycling theme. The fashion stamp is from Rubbadubbadoo and the word stamp is a Sparkle and Sprinkle stamp. I've put the quote 'Memories' because this outfit reminds me of my younger days. I can also remember wearing these colours (hmmm). The backing paper is from a magazine and recycled bit is the tag which came attached to either a blouse or a tee shirt, I can't remember which and I've no idea why I put it in the sewing box. Good job I did though. The button is from a very old blouse, buttons removed before dumping.
Thaks for looking.

Christmas Angel

The challenge for Rainbow Lady this week was to make a Christmas card with an angel on it. I hope a little angel counts. She is a Crafter's Companion stamp, coloured with Artquest paints. The base card is a Kanban card, (the gold corners are the bits out of the cut out coloured with a Krylon pen). The top part of the window is sponged liquid chalks and the shading round the angel is dry chalks. I have put acetate between the card and the angel image to create the window effect.

Recycled

This card is for the Arty Girlz challenge to used something recycled. The paper down the left side is from a paper bag that was given to me by a friend containing some seeds. I thought the bag was too pretty to throw away so used it to make two cards. The geisha is from a stamp belonging to my neice and the corner flower border is a Crafters Companion stamp coloured with chalks.

Thank you for looking.

Flowers in the Round

The Tanda Teaser this week is for 'Flowers in the Round'. I have used a Wendy Rhodes stamp, stamped in Stazon Stone Gray and coloured with watercolour pencils. I then stamped the image onto acetate and layed it over the watercoloured image. The peel offs on the corners and round the circle were gold but I used a black peel off pen to colour them. The base card is pearlised card from Crafters Companion.

In the Garden

We've decorated yet another room this week which makes three rooms in just over three weeks. This time it was the lounge where I do all my crafting so everything had to be packed away and moved. It's mostly back now and I was determined to get one challenge card in so this is this afternoon's effort for Rainbow Lady's challenge - In the Garden. The background has been chalked and the cat is a Joanna Sheen stamp. The other stamps used are:- flower -Crafter's Companion, butterfly - Elusive Images and the birds - Caroline's.

Sun Conure

This is the only card I've managed this week as we've been decorating again. We are starting another room tomorrow so I don't think I'll get much card making done next week either.
This card is for Rainbow Lady's challenge to make a 'birdy' card. I found this image of a sun conure on an Etappe-knipwerk 3D sheet of minatures. I had a pair of sun conures in the eighties and early nineties so I was pleased to find it. The background is alcohol inks and the foliage is done using stone Gray Stazon and a couple of tapestry stamps. The base card is a pearlised green. It's getting quite dark now so the camera has not picked up the detail very well but I hope you get the general idea.

Pink, Black and Cream

This week Rainbow Lady asked us to make a card using just pink, black and one other colour. I chose cream. The base card is black and the stamped image in the centre was stamped using black Stazon. The cream card was stamped with a small flower stamp from The English Stamp company using cinnamon Versacolour and then put through the cuttlebug and cut into squares. The pink card on the centre topper and the backing for the cream squares is the same card but coloured with the same pink ink used to stamp the flowers on it. The ribbon was white but has also been coloured with the same pink ink. The last touch was some pink glitter on the scrolls of the stamp.

Elegant Embossing

This card was made for the Sheenieshuffle but as it had an embossed background I though it would do for the Papertakeweekly challenge to use some sort of embossing. The stamp is from Joanna Sheen coloured with Superpoint pens and mounted onto silver mirror card. The background is lavender paper which has been cuttlebugged and the lace is embellishment is self adhesive paper lace.

Cute Mouse

This week Artygirlz set an open theme for their challenge so I've entered this little card. It's not very inventive I know but it's the first one I made using the Cute Companions CD from Crafters Companion. Very simply a mouse and butterflies from Jayne Nesterenko's Cute Companions stamps set, coloured with Lyra watercolours and stuck on the front of one of the scenes on the CD but at least it means I got one in this week.
