The first card is for Rainbow Lady's challenge - which this week is to use an acetate overlay and a Christmas theme if preferred. The Christmas tree was printed from MCS NSR Snowflakes and Sparkles - once onto a variegated background and again onto acetate this time using the outline image. Then I attached the overlay with brads. The bp is Funky Fairies and the swirl is a U Mount stamp - stamped with Versafine and clear embossed.
The second card is the Bah Humbug challenge - Vintage. The bp is from a Crafters Companion cd and the floral vine and brown strips are made from some shimmery copper paper although the shimmer doesn't show up. The main image is made with a stamped image kindly sent to me by Irene - so how apt that I'm using it for her challenge. It's coloured with inktense pencils and distressed a bit round the edge to give it a vintage feel - hopefully.
Busy decorating at the moment and just grabbed a few minutes to post these before it's too late.
Thanks very much for visiting.

Oh Wow Beryl, these are fabulous. I love the vintage one but I have to say the acetate overlay one really blows me away. It's absolutely gorgeous and a real stunner. It goes perfectly with the flourish corner too. Yummy!

Hi Beryl - two gorgeous Xmas cards - love them both, and good luck with the challenges. Thanks for confirming that the flower in my photo is Hibiscus. It was indeed huge and I couldn't resist taking some pictures as we passed by. Only realised as we walked away that the fence was surrounding a care home - the elderly residents were sat in the garden in wheelchairs, and one old gentleman waved to us through the gate - quite sad on such a beautiful sunny day.
I doubt that Hibiscus would survive our Northern weather in Leeds - this one was in Tenerife! Nice to know that yours is thriving in Wales though.
Lots of love, Sylvia xxx
Beryl...the busy stamper! You've created two very lovely cards. The first with the absolutely fab corner flourish (which I MUST see about getting!) is very elegant and the tree design is enhanced by the acetate image over the top! I really like the black accents of the second card with the MS garden floral punched border and and the definite Vintage feel of it all. Wonderful work as usual!Happy hugs, Martha

Lovely cards! When I read that you are busy decorating, I had to look at the date of this post again...that would be a step too far towards early Xmas preparation!
so wonderfully grown up and stylish, I have always liked those black christmas trees you see in posh garden centers.
